Responsibilities
Manage and execute end‑to‑end projects: problem solving, data gathering, manipulation, predictive modeling, and stakeholder engagement
Apply feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, and statistical modeling techniques
Implement code in Python, R, Scala, SQL, etc., to build machine‑learning and econometric models addressing business problems
Translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations
Contribute to the scientific roadmap and research new modeling techniques and procedures
Build a common data‑science infrastructure for housing models and enabling large‑scale experimentation
Produce and maintain technical documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; or 3+ years as a data‑science practitioner
Solid experience in descriptive analytics: reporting, querying, scorecards, dashboards, visualizations, presentations
Experience in data mining and data‑engineering techniques for preparing data
At least 2 years of predictive analytics experience (classification, regression, causal modeling, clustering, profiling)
Programming experience in R, Scala, Python (including Django, Flask, Pyramid), or similar languages and code repository maintenance
Experience formulating and testing hypotheses using Jupyter notebooks, R, etc.
Proficiency constructing prototype models with open‑source packages such as scikit‑learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Stan
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building prescriptive analytics: optimization, randomized tests, experiments, simulations, price optimization
Experience creating business‑intelligence automation in Snowflake, Salesforce, QuickSight, Tableau or similar
Knowledge of optimizers such as Gurobi or solvers like GLPK, LPSolve
Experience integrating multiple applications and data APIs
Understanding of the software development life cycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
Familiarity with front‑end technologies: HTML5, JavaScript
Leadership ability and collaboration skills
Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 USD for NY and other states.
