Working with a trading firm looking to add a senior individual contributor to a small, high-impact networking team.
What they’re looking for:
Strong experience with latency‑sensitive networks
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and multicast
Hands‑on experience designing and building network infrastructure (routers, switches, VPNs, etc.)
Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues using tools like Wireshark / tcpdump
Nice to have (not essential):
Automation (Python / Ansible)
Exposure to RF networks or layer 1 infrastructure
Prior trading/finance experience
Team of 3 engineers
High ownership, hands‑on role
Hybrid (Chicago-based)
They’re not looking for managers or big tech backgrounds; this is a role for someone who enjoys building and solving real network problems.
