*Salary:* $70,000 (or based on experience)
*About the Role*
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Developer to take ownership of our software development efforts and play a critical role in building the company’s next-generation internal system and customer-facing platform.
This role will lead the architecture, development, and scaling of a new system/platform that supports both internal operations and enterprise-level customers. You’ll work closely with leadership, IT, and cross-functional teams to shape technical direction and drive execution.
This position is fully onsite in Ada, MI and requires daily in-office presence.
*What You’ll Do*
* Lead the design and development of a new internal system/platform, including architecture and technology decisions
* Own the full software development lifecycle—from planning and design to deployment and optimization
* Build and maintain scalable applications, APIs, and integrations
* Establish and enforce development best practices, code quality, and documentation standards
* Collaborate with IT and operations teams to align systems with infrastructure and support needs
* Mentor and guide junior developers and technical support developers
* Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency across the business
* Participate in strategic planning and help define the technical roadmap
*Key Projects*
* Full build-out of a new internal system/platform (core focus)
* Platform migration and modernization efforts
* Enterprise and retail client integrations
* Development of automation tools and backend workflows
* Enhancements to customer-facing applications
*Required Skills & Experience*
* 5+ years of professional software development experience
* Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)
* Backend development experience (Node.js or similar)
* Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
* Strong database experience (PostgreSQL or similar)
* Experience with system architecture and scalable application design
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
* Strong understanding of version control, CI/CD, and deployment workflows
* Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience leading or mentoring a development team
* Experience building systems from the ground up
* Experience with platform migrations
* Familiarity with deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, Railway)
* Understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts
* Experience integrating third-party services (Stripe, SendGrid, etc.)
* Exposure to telecom, cellular, or MVNO-related systems (a plus)
