As a Data Engineer within Salesforce’s Data & Analytics organization, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to create and manage robust data solutions that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You’ll build scalable, efficient data pipelines, optimize data workflows, and ensure data quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
Architect multi‑stage Medallion pipelines (Bronze, Silver, Gold) ensuring seamless data transitions.
Lead semantic layer strategy, owning development and governance of metrics and dimensions for consistent KPI interpretation.
Advanced dimensional modeling, designing star and snowflake schemas supporting complex relationships, historical versioning, and high‑concurrency querying.
Build and maintain identity resolution pipelines, stitching disparate data across the Salesforce ecosystem to create unified customer and product graphs.
Partner with Decision Scientists to engineer data structures for attribution and causal inference models.
Establish data contracts and automated validation frameworks to monitor freshness, schema drift, and semantic accuracy.
Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD workflows, automated testing, version control, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineering leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
Related technical degree.
Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, and data engineering tools.
Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
Experience with Airflow, dbt, Informatica, or similar orchestration tools.
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with data warehousing, NoSQL, and data integration techniques.
Experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, specifically Data Cloud.
Problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
