The
Cloud Software Architect
will architect the modernization of enterprise-class software applications. They will work in coordination with Agile development teams and other stakeholders to architect, design, build, migrate, expand, automate, and sustain a large, multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise. The

will leverage their experience in cloud software architecture to design and direct the development of this exciting new solution.

Cloud Software Architect , the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:
Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions
Maintains the integrity and security of systems
Supports and develops automation
Develops in languages such as Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js
Maintains/enhances knowledge of AWS cloud services
Composes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, etc.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The
Cloud Software Architect
must have:
Education: Training, Certificate, or Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant experience preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing.
Required Skills: Proficiency in Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js; Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation; Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture; Linux OS experience; Experience with application using serverless architecture and/or containerization; Extensive SDLC experience; Excellent communication skills; Ability to deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
Required Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
Security Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a Public Trust position.
Must be US Person (Green Card Holder, US Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee, or US Citizen).

The likely salary range for this position is $195,240 - $264,148. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside this range.

Travel Required: Less than 10%
