Salary The salary range for this position is $69,591.89 to $117,971.38 for Schedule A, and $69,591.89 to $112,072.83 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion will increase 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.
Job Responsibilities The New Jersey Judiciary Appellate Division's Administrative Services Office of Technical Applications seeks a motivated professional to support data analytics, video conferencing, and technology services for the Appellate Division. The role includes gathering, analyzing, planning, implementing, assessing, and monitoring application progress; maintaining the appellate teams’ video‑conferencing network; troubleshooting end‑user technical issues; managing wireless and mobile device configuration; overseeing recording and streaming of Supreme Court oral arguments; and assisting with software and hardware deployments and upgrades for appellate staff. The position also requires developing tools and materials to support the Division.
Preparation of data files and reports for stakeholders.
Technical support for video conferencing and multimedia presentations.
Installation of operating systems and applications.
Administration of user and computer accounts.
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.
Remote Work The Judiciary offers a hybrid schedule; eligible applicants may work up to two days remotely. Remote work requires installation of a multifactor authentication app and reliable high‑speed home internet. Physical presence on the office premises remains essential.
Knowledge & Experience Knowledge of computer systems and video‑conferencing applications—including CourtSmart, Polycom RealPresence, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, SCCM, Windows 10, and Office 365—would be beneficial.
Qualifications Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, with at least one year of professional experience in analytics, programming, troubleshooting, or system implementation. Substitutions are available:
Any other discipline with one year of relevant IT experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree, on a 30‑semester‑hour credit equivalence basis.
Associate’s degree + one year additional relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Associate’s degree + two years relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Associate’s degree + three years relevant experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Master’s degree in the above fields may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Physical Ability: Applicants must be able to lift 30–50 lb regularly, occasionally up to 75 lb, and perform tasks requiring climbing, standing, bending, and reaching.
Driver's License: A valid New Jersey driver’s license is required only if vehicle operation is necessary for essential duties.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required; the candidate must be authorized to work pursuant to DHS or USCIS regulations.
Background Check: New hires must consent to a thorough background check, including fingerprinting. All data is kept confidential except to inform the individual of findings and actions taken.
Residency Law: According to the “New Jersey First Act,” new hires must establish and maintain residency in New Jersey; exemptions may be sought for hardship or critical need.
