Summary of Role We are seeking a
Senior Data Engineer
with strong focus on
data pipeline and analytics architecture . This role demands exceptional critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to navigate complex architectural challenges in high‑volume data environments. The senior engineer will be the technical authority for the domain, leading design, development, and maintenance of scalable microservices that power ETL and analytics platforms. The role involves mentoring, championing agentic LLM tooling, and overseeing the full technical lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Lead design of complex ETL pipelines, data models, and analytics infrastructure.
Design and develop new microservices, manage APIs, massive datasets, and ETL pipelines feeding data warehouses and search indices.
Utilize AI‑assisted coding tools to boost productivity while ensuring high standards.
Perform code reviews and promote modular component‑based architectures.
Work with Product Owners and Data Analysts to refine data requirements and break epics into stories.
Lead root‑cause analysis for production alerts and errors, focusing on data quality and pipeline failures.
Mentor team members and socialize standards through collaborative design sessions.
Requirements
8+ years Java experience, mastery of the Java ecosystem.
5+ years Python experience.
5+ years with message bus technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, GCP PubSub).
5+ years with Spark, BigQuery, Elasticsearch, and orchestration services such as Dataproc or Airflow.
5+ years with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, star/snowflake schemas, data warehousing.
Experience integrating Agentic LLM tools and context engineering.
Experience building services in Node.js.
Experience with Spring Framework/Hibernate and designing GraphQL/REST APIs.
Proficiency with Docker and containerized ecosystems such as Argo and Kubernetes.
Other Requirements Currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

Compensation Salary range: $135,000.00 – $165,000.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
