This role is located in Houston, TX and is a hybrid position with three days onsite.
Accountabilities
Develop data science solutions to business challenges.
Write clean, maintainable production‑level code, including tests, using Python, Databricks, GIT, Azure, and SQL.
Integrate models into production on a weekly or even daily basis.
Work closely with customers and the Product Owner day‑to‑day.
Participate in an Agile environment—ceremonies, continuous improvement activities, and high collaboration.
Document and explain analysis or modelling results to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Learn new engineering practices, technologies, and continuously improve Agile practices.
Rapidly onboard on projects, understand analytics goals, and work with ill‑defined datasets.
Communicate technical jargon in plain English to colleagues within the Data Science team and externally, working with a global network of collaborators.
Skills & Requirements
Experience on data science projects.
Broad experience and knowledge in Statistics, Machine Learning, and data engineering.
Awareness of issues in statistics and dependence on data quality.
A practical approach to problem solving and attention to detail.
Passion for and expertise in practicing data science to solve real‑world customer problems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently.
High standards of code quality, making use of version control tools.
Proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, Python, and Matlab.
Good knowledge of cloud environments, specifically Azure.
Experience in Agile working methodology.
Compensation:
$109,500.00 – $138,600.00 (U.S.)
