Notes from call with hiring manager): Will work on acquisition for buying trash businesses. Currently manual processes and looking for tools to speed up/ enhance process. Usually get different downloads from either excel or QuickBooks from sellers then upload into our systems. Just a highly manual process today of going through data. Want to take a difference approach to automation, ETL, advanced SQL to handle volume. Really looking for strong data background, automation tools with ETL and SSIS, someone that works well with ambiguity. Will perform data conversions to learn the process then automate overtime with etl tools, AI tools, etc to be more efficient. Heavily using AWS and Microsoft tools. POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an innovative Data Analyst to modernize our approach to customer data conversions during mergers and acquisitions. This role will help lead the transformation of our traditional data conversion processes by implementing cutting-edge automation solutions, AI technologies, and advanced data processing methodologies. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with strategic vision to create scalable, efficient systems that can handle increasing volumes of acquisitions while maintaining data integrity. This position requires someone who can think beyond conventional approaches, develop automated frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in our M&A data integration capabilities.
PROJECT INFORMATION:
This role will be a part of our Mergers & Acquisition data conversion team. Their primary assignment will be to explore ways to modernize how our company coordinates and executes complex customer data conversion for newly acquired companies into our existing AR and customer service systems allowing us to move faster and support higher volume of acquisitions.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement automated data conversion frameworks and pipelines to accelerate M&A integration Leverage AI, machine learning, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to transform manual conversion processes Develop intelligent data mapping tools that can learn from previous conversions to suggest mappings for new acquisitions Create reusable components and templates to standardize and expedite customer data integration Identify opportunities for process optimization and develop innovative solutions to eliminate bottlenecks Establish data quality validation frameworks with automated testing and verification capabilities Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective solutions Mentor team members on modern data transformation techniques and automation best practices Research and evaluate emerging technologies that could further enhance conversion efficiency Document automated processes and create knowledge repositories to facilitate knowledge transfer Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to validate new approaches before full-scale implementation Establish and maintain strong working partnerships with all stakeholders Independently develop and manage complex project plans and detailed status reports MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field 4+ years of experience in data analysis, ETL processes, and data conversion projects Advanced SQL skills and experience with database management systems Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages for data processing automation Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms (Informatica, SSIS, etc.) Demonstrated experience in process automation and workflow optimization Proficiency with data quality tools and methodologies Advanced Excel skills including macros, Power Query, and data modeling Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Must be legally authorized to work in the United States PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with AI/ML technologies for data matching, classification, and anomaly detection Knowledge of RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) Background in M&A data integration projects Knowledge of metadata management and master data management principles Experience with API development and integration Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Understanding of AR, CRM, and customer service systems architecture
