Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

Work within a hybrid setting that includes both office and inpatient coverage, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient cohort. The practice is robust, with an average of 27 scheduled patients per day. You will utilize state-of-the-art equipment, including a GE 10 ultrasound, and document patient interactions using the EPIC and Viewpoint EMR systems. The facility is designated as Nursery Level III, ensuring a high standard of neonatal care.

Schedule and Assignment Details

This locum tenens position offers a consistent schedule of Monday through Friday clinic coverage from 8 AM to 4:15 PM, alongside nightly call on weekdays and 24-hour call coverage on weekends. Open dates for this opportunity run from early May through the end of May, with the potential for ongoing engagement. This assignment is designed to support the facility during a recruitment period, providing stability and continuity of care.

Support and Work Environment

Join a well-supported practice with a collaborative two-provider service model. This includes one physician covering at another hospital within the system while you focus your expertise at this location. You will be supported by an experienced NP who rotates between sites, ensuring comprehensive patient care across the board. The practice setting is equipped with three exam rooms and an onsite ultrasound, although there is no onsite lab.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine is required.
• Active Virginia medical license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• AIUM certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• A self-query NPDB report pulled within 30 days is required at the time of presentation.
