The Commercial Manager will help form, implement and manage the commercial, pricing and procurement strategy. Working closely with the COO, the Commercial team & Account managers they will ensure that all contracts that we put in place meet the needs of the customer, whilst protecting our clients and the business from unnecessary risks.

This position will oversee the commercial delivery of a number of complex projects with the support of the current commercial team. They will also, in conjunction with both operations and finance functions, have responsibility for delivering a diverse range of commercial activities to maximise financial performance through contract negotiation, risk management, supply chain and new business.
This role is currently based in Ballycoolin and will transition to a permanent office location in Naas, Co. Kildare from December 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Take the lead on the drafting of contracts and amendments
Provide key input data for tender and bid contract preparation
Responsible for overseeing the delivery and tracking of project financials, project cost control and monitoring across all projects.
Ensure we are protected contractually, negotiating customer contracts and maintaining a detailed knowledge of all contractual arrangements across the business
Work closely with the Account Management Teams to develop relationships with, and an understanding of the commercial approach of customers
Work closely with the leadership and executive team to generate growth, supporting tendering to new and existing customers.
Analysis current projects and generate reports on how these can be improved to maximise profits
Liaising with all our clients in relation to all commercial aspects of the contracts, the business has in place through weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews
Working closely with the Account Managers in relation to forecasting revenue/costs/GM
Preparation and submission of quotations for out-of-scope works
Provide advice to team members on contractual responsibilities to ensure no works are complete outside of agreed scope without an avenue to ensure recovery
Cost Control on all aspects of work carried out by subcontractors and third-party suppliers
Analysis supplier / plant selection to ensure best value achieved across the projects
Support the management of the commercial team and provide support on best practices
Key Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying
Extensive experience, experience of the utility sector desirable. xcfaprz
Previous experience of Telecoms/Fibre network an advantage
Ability to effectively interact with team members and senior management
Client facing experience and ability to manage/minimise disputes.
Process driven
Ability to work on own initiative
