Job Summary:

Mission Hospital McDowell is seeking an experienced general surgeon to join an expanding surgical practice in Marion, NC
Qualified Candidates:

Board certified / board eligible in general surgery
Experience in upper and lower scoping
Interest in bread and butter general surgery

Position Highlights:

Join a team of two (2) FT general surgeons covering the east market; facilites covered are Mission McDowell in Marion, NC and Blue Ridge Regional Hospital (BRRH) in Spruce Pine, NC
10 days of call per month
Dedicated APP support at each facility
No robot at either facility

About McDowell Hospital:

Critical Access Hospital features 30 inpatient beds, including five labor and delivery suites
The new facility also features an expanded emergency department and a state-of-the-art surgery center
Outpatient services include wound clinic, a full laboratory, digital mammography, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine and rehab therapy.

Tucked into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Marion boasts a bustling downtown district with art, local theaters, restaurants, independent shops, antique stores and breweries.
