Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
• Assignment dates: May 1, 7am - May 8, 7am
• Handle inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers
• Perform upper GI endoscopy including biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeders
• Conduct injection of varices and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) experience preferred
• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP services
• Perform esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpret esophageal manometry results
• Conduct small bowel biopsy and lower GI endoscopy procedures
• Perform both flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Provide colonoscopy services including biopsy and polyp excision
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred
• Perform liver biopsy procedures
• Manage insertion and care of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes
• Must be board certified with active Texas medical license
• ACLS certification required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 10 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
