Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Job Title: Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist (MD/DO)
Location: Bloomington, IL

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity at in Bloomington, IL. This role focuses on weekend coverage with a strong emphasis on interventional procedures and STEMI call coverage.

• Estimated Shifts: 6 shifts per month
• Shift Schedule:
  • Friday 5:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
  • 24-hour call coverage throughout the weekend
• Ongoing need with plans to onboard 2 additional providers

• Provide full Interventional Cardiology coverage , including:
  • Cardiac catheterizations
  • PCI and related interventional procedures
• Cover the hospital s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients
• Perform Cath Lab procedures for inpatients as needed
• Provide consults for admitted patients in collaboration with:
  • Hospitalist teams
  • ICU teams
• Work collaboratively with employed and PSA cardiologists
• Provider will work independently (solo coverage)

• On-call coverage required during all assigned shifts
• Call types: Telephone-based with 30-minute response time
• STEMI call coverage required

• EMR: EPIC
• Established Cath Lab and cardiology program
• Collaborative hospital environment

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (Interventional preferred)
• Active Illinois Medical License (required)
• Illinois DEA & CSR required
• Certifications: ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• IMLC candidates will NOT be considered

• Predictable weekend schedule
