About the job Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies at massive scale, spanning beyond web search. We're looking for engineers with expertise in information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. Engineers work on critical projects and may switch teams as the business evolves, requiring versatility, leadership, and enthusiasm for new challenges across the full stack.
With extensive technical expertise, you independently design and implement new systems, designing, implementing, and testing multiple features with minimal direction from tech leads or managers. You collaborate with key stakeholders to determine future direction of work.
Responsibilities
Set and communicate team priorities that support broader organizational goals, aligning strategy, processes, and decision‑making across teams.
Set clear expectations for individuals based on level and role, align to organizational goals, meet regularly to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.
Develop the mid‑term technical goal and roadmap within the scope of your teams; evolve roadmap to meet future requirements and infrastructure needs.
Design, guide, and vet systems designs within the broader area, and write product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
Review code from other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, code quality, testability, efficiency).
Salary & Benefits The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $207,000-$300,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay is based on job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
