Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders across Tandem’s business units to provide scalable reporting and analytics solutions associated with post‑market surveillance data.
Create interactive and automated Power BI dashboards and data reports.
Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and other IT professionals to deliver comprehensive data solutions and reports that increase data analysis efficiencies.
Provide ad‑hoc analyses and written reports as needed.
Participate in problem definition and user needs gathering with project teams and business process owners.
Facilitate and participate on cross‑functional process improvement teams to drive operational quality excellence and cost savings initiatives.
Train cross‑functional stakeholders on data use and access.
Enable non‑technical stakeholders to quickly answer key questions and make better and faster decisions through easy access to data and analytics tools.
Assist in incorporating data from multiple sources including product, ERP, CRM, and other business applications to present consolidated views of post‑market surveillance data.
Confirm completion of required training plan before assuming job responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
Location and Schedule Hybrid:
This position is hybrid and open to candidates located in San Diego, California. Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur onsite and virtually.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST.
What You’ll Need
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and effective use of MiniTab or other applicable statistical software.
Analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
Ability to effectively convey information related to work product in one‑on‑one conversations or in a group.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to present analysis to various stakeholders.
Technical knowledge of database and reporting tools.
Experience creating interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with extracting, transforming, and loading data from various data sources into a single data report.
Coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python, or equivalent; experience with Databricks is a plus.
Strong knowledge and application of principles outlined in Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP).
Capability to produce, interpret, and analyze results using statistical methodology, including control charts.
Ability to assert own ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting relevant information.
Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis using statistical methods.
Continuously monitor and initiate improvement opportunities with data quality and integrity.
Adaptability to see change as an opportunity to improve business performance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and flexibility to function in a fast‑paced and innovative environment.
Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.
Ability to alter behavior and opinions in light of new information.
Knowledge of problem‑solving methodologies: 5 Why’s analysis, Cause and Effect diagrams, etc.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Bachelor's degree program in a related field.
Completion of Junior year in Science or Engineering or a related field, preferred.
Minimum Experience
Intern experience in a related environment, preferred.
Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Works on assignments that are semi‑routine in nature but recognizes the need for deviation from accepted practice.
Normally follows established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
Assists in collecting, cleaning and validating data from multiple sources.
Supports development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Performs basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies.
Helps document business definitions, metrics and reporting logic.
Supports enhancements to existing dashboards and reports.
Assists with testing and validation of reports to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Helps maintain data quality and reporting standards.
Works with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements.
Supports ad‑hoc reporting and analysis requests.
Assists in preparing presentation materials and summaries for process stakeholders.
Helps document process workflows.
Supports continuous improvement initiatives related to analytics and reporting efficiency.
Assists in defining and validating key performance indicators.
Performs QA checks to validate data accuracy.
Compensation The starting base pay range for this position is
$30.00 – $41.00 per hour . Base pay may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate's location and the overall job market.
Employment Type This is a
temporary
position. As a temporary employee you will be employed through a staff agency partner. Benefits during your temporary assignment may be provided by the staffing agency. Access to Tandem sponsored benefits is contingent upon conversion from temporary to regular full‑time status.
