Support data science and analytics initiatives by acting as a second set of eyes on data, code, and outputs Assist with data collection, cleaning, and preparation for analysis and modeling Write and maintain Python scripts to support data processing, automation, and analysis Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on projects involving machine learning, APIs, and data pipelines Contribute to projects involving document intelligence, language models, and automation of manual processes Work with structured and unstructured data, including parsing information from documents (e.g., PDFs) Support development efforts that integrate data science with software engineering (APIs, tools, internal applications) Gain exposure to tools such as Databricks, cloud platforms (Azure), and version control (Git) Participate in team discussions, standups, and knowledge sharing to learn systems, use cases, and business context Take initiative in learning new tools, asking questions, and contributing to solutions over time Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Python (coursework, projects, or internships) required Experience with SQL Familiarity with Git or version control and maintaining a GitHub repository is a plus Basic understanding of data science concepts (data analysis, modeling, or machine learning fundamentals) Interest in applying data science to real‑world problems (personal projects, Kaggle, etc. strongly encouraged) Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) or data tools like Databricks is a plus Experience or interest in working with APIs, automation, or software development concepts is helpful Exposure to GIS, spatial data, or tools like ArcGIS is a plus but not required Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Highly curious, self‑motivated, and eager to learn Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment Preferred Backgrounds
