About The Role The Data & Analytics Director will lead the enterprise data strategy and execution to enable trusted, accessible, and scalable data products, advanced analytics, and AI/ML capabilities that drive business outcomes.
This leader collaborates closely with Product, platforms, and business teams, ensuring alignment with Crown’s data strategy and delivering incremental value. Hands‑on in enabling access, breaking down silos, and advancing use cases that deliver next‑gen data monetization.
Ideal candidates have experience in AI/ML enablement, applying advanced analytics, leading and scaling end‑to‑end data teams, and governance, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and translate strategy into outcome‑driven execution.
What You Will Do Build and execute the Data Strategy & Governance
Define enterprise data strategy and execute a roadmap of high‑impact data and analytics initiatives informed by business priorities.
Establish data governance, classification, and quality standards.
Ensure data is trusted and secured.
Data Platform & Pipeline
Build a scalable data platform of consolidated enterprise data from disparate systems into a unified, governed, and sustainable model.
Define and enforce data architecture, modeling, and integration standards.
Data Products & Self‑service
Lead development of curated, business‑aligned data products.
Enable governed self‑service analytics (e.g., Semantic layer, Power BI, etc.).
Define and track ownership, SLAs, life‑cycle management, and usage metrics for each data product.
Advanced Analytics & AI/ML Readiness
Deliver advanced analytics use cases to unlock business‑critical insights and opportunities.
Lead and scale AI/ML development and deployment in partnership with Product and Engineering.
Advisory & Evangelism
Act as a trusted advisor to business units, helping them understand how to leverage self‑service capabilities, data, and analytics in ways that deliver measurable outcomes.
Team Leadership
Build and lead a high‑performing team across data engineering, analytics, data products, and data science/AI defining clear roles, accountability, and ways of working.
Education & Certifications WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Master’s degree and/or MBA preferred.
Experience & Skills
10+ years of experience in data, advanced analytics, and engineering leadership.
Experience building modern data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks) and tools supporting data lakes and advanced analytics and AI.
Experience delivering data products vs reporting and ability to translate business needs into data/AI solutions.
Strong ability to partner across functions, influence governance decisions, and drive execution against strategy.
Experience leading and scaling a cross‑functional team across data science, engineering, analytics, and governance professionals.
Strong understanding of data governance, modeling, and architecture.
Prior telecommunications and infrastructure industry experience preferred.
Where You Will Work This role falls into our hybrid work model, with 1 day work from home (typically Friday but may vary) and 4 days in the office. May require some travel as needed.

Compensation The salary range offered for this position is $173,860 - $239,057 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to depth of experience, role‑related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
