What you'll be able to do:
Data Scientist - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the anticipated worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the anticipated worksite. Develop and maintain advanced analytics capabilities essential for pricing and go-to-market strategies, including product allocation, distribution, and mix optimization. Collaborate with Ford’s Global Data Insights & Analytics and IT teams. Utilize Python, SQL, and machine learning, alongside experience with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud. Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. Apply the most relevant quantitative modeling techniques and tools in statistical analysis, econometrics, operation research/optimization, data science, machine/deep learning techniques to a variety of real-world business problems within automotive industry focusing on marketing and sales area. Enable evidence-based decision making by extracting, managing, and exploring a variety of data sources and extracting insights from structured and unstructured data sets that are often large and high-dimensional. Identify new and novel data sources and explore their potential use in developing actionable business insights and ensure overall quality of the data and solutions throughout the analytics development process. Maintain and enhance existing econometrics models supporting business daily decisions and integrate validation results and visualize analysis/prediction result through visualization tools to provide qualitative overview. Assist in communicating and presenting models and analytical results to business customers and upper management and collaborate with other teams within GDIA in the model development and delivery processes.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial and Operations Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilizing Python for data analysis, scripting, and software development tasks. 2. Utilizing SQL for querying, managing, and optimizing relational databases. 3. Applying mathematical optimization techniques to solve complex decision-making and resource allocation problems. 4. Applying machine learning algorithms and models to analyze data, build predictive systems, and enhance decision-making. 5. Utilizing exploratory data analysis (EDA) techniques to uncover patterns, identify anomalies, and generate insights from datasets. 6. Applying stochastic optimization methods to optimize processes and systems under uncertainty and probabilistic conditions. 1 year of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Utilizing Google Cloud platform services for deploying, managing, and scaling applications and data workflows in the cloud.
We are offering a salary of $107,848.00 - $182,338.56/yr.
