Snap-on is seeking a Network Engineer I at its Corporate Headquarters in Kenosha, WI. As a Network Engineer I, you will be an individual contributor responsible for the support and management of our enterprise network. You will work closely with other network team members, cross-functional teams, and internal customers. A successful candidate will be highly motivated and be driven to develop long-term solutions with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for network-related incident response tickets, taking ownership of tickets from initial receipt to resolution or escalation. Assist senior network engineers in implementing network infrastructure projects. Responsible for network events as they occur Install and configure network hardware and software Support network security initiatives such as access controls and segmentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address network-related issues Document network configurations, processes, and procedures Participate in on-call rotation Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or alternatively equivalent enterprise networking experience; or relevant industry certifications. 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or related field Experience with Cisco network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) Solid understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, DNS, and DHCP Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and an eagerness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team
