As a Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in enhancing the learning experiences of our youngest pupils, who have a diverse range of special educational and learning needs. You will support our dedicated teaching staff in helping these pupils gain independence and fully engage in the curriculum and school life. This role will be based at Kirby Moor School.
Your Role Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the national curriculum while addressing the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
- Report on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other school staff to ensure all needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with your pupils, fostering interaction and positive learning outcomes in a nurturing environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Kirby Moor School.
