*Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Physical Therapist:*
* Performing comprehensive evaluations of residents.
* Developing plans of care.
* Providing therapeutic actions to relieve pain and maximize independence.
* Instructing residents, families, and caregivers in the total physical therapy program.
* Planning safe discharges with the resident, family, caregivers, and physician.
* Supervising and delegating Physical Therapy Assistant(s) and Student Physical Therapists.
* Completing timely documentation.
* Committing to and maintaining high ethical standards and complies with the Code of Conduct.

*Qualifications of a Physical Therapist:*
* Graduate of a state-approved School of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
* Two years of long-term care or rehabilitation center experience preferred.
* Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
* CPR certification strongly preferred and encouraged
