Note: All official drafts, documents and recommendations, as listed below, must be reviewed, finalized and approved / accepted by appropriate BPA manager or other federal personnel with the authority to do so.
Draft Extract, Transformation and Loading (ETL) procedures for implementing data integration and data migration tasks in support of Data Warehousing and other data integration projects.
Draft ETL procedures, batch processes, and scheduling; troubleshoot problems and make suggestions for performance tuning and system integrity.
Develop mappings and workflows in Informatica to automate data integration.
Develop data models and database design techniques, including relational and dimensional modeling.
Effectively map source to target data to meet business/system requirements.
Implement BPA management approved SQL stored procedures and advanced SQL queries.
Assist with the development of functional and technical requirements documents for diverse audience (technical and non-technical), including migration, implementation and test plans.
Draft working documents for interfaces with non-Standard BPA systems.
Debug, analyze and troubleshoot data quality issues.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Corresponding Experience (required on matrix)
Bachelor's degree in information/computer technology or a closely-related field is preferred.
5 years of experience is required with an applicable bachelor's degree.
9 years of experience is required without a degree or an applicable degree.
Experience should be technical in nature and reflect the duties consistent with the API.
Required Technical Skills & Experience (required on matrix)
5 years of experience in Data Integration Techniques.
Experience with the following:
Oracle 11g, 12g, 18c or 19c.
Writing DDL and creating database objects.
Partitioning database tables.
Creating Oracle procedures, functions and views.
ETL tool such as Informatica Suite (including Power Center and Power Exchange) or an equivalent tool.
Preferred Skills & Experience (optional on matrix)
Experience with the following:
Microsoft SQL Server relational database system.
Using XML, REST, XSD and WSDL.
Web Services.
Task scheduling and monitoring.
Software development coordination with clients and management.
Database Analysis.
Power Shell development.
Data Warehousing design techniques.
Data analysis, source system analysis and data mapping.
Knowledge of Oracle OLTP and HCC compression.
Informatica Suite (one or more of):
Power Center version 9 or higher
Data Services
Power Center Cloud
Additional Requirements (not required on matrix)
Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
