Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has opened an opening for a Supportability Engineer - Avionics - to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Melbourne, FL . This position is fully onsite with no remote work available.

Accomplish

You should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. You should be well organized, pay a great deal of attention to detail, possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to present design concepts to an audience. You must be able to work well with co-workers, other groups and external suppliers.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify, analyze, quantify and influence logistics requirements to support a weapon system including spares, Support Equipment, technical data, training, facilities, and personnel

  • Interface with vehicle engineering to influence weapon system design for supportability

  • Initiate and perform trade studies

  • Perform detailed maintenance task analysis

  • Determine overall weapon support system requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field from an accredited university with 2 years previous experience working in an Engineering or Technical position OR a Master’s Degree in STEM with 0 years’ experience.

  • Must have a basic understanding of electrical engineering

  • Prior experience in systems engineering, system design concepts and maintenance of mechanical systems

  • Knowledge of design and database tools (NX/CPLM) and possess ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts list
