Your New Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services systems across multiple projects, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Depending on your level of experience, you will take ownership of elements of design and project delivery, while supporting (or leading) coordination with wider design teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems and life safety systems
  • Producing calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawings
  • Supporting project delivery from concept design through to construction and handover
  • Coordinating with mechanical engineers, architects and other project stakeholders
  • Attending design team and client meetings
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and sustainability targets
  • Supporting site inspections, commissioning and project close‑out
  • Utilising industry‑standard software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD and Revit
What You’ll Need
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • Experience in a consultancy or contractor environment (level flexible depending on candidate)
  • Understanding of electrical building services design principles
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards
  • Experience xcfaprz with design software (Amtech, Dialux/Relux, Revit, AutoCAD) beneficial
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer status (desirable, depending on level)
