Data Analyst

Talascend is currently seeking a

Data Analyst

for a long-term contract position in Plano, TX for a global electronics company.

Role & Responsibilities Support crafting analysis, actions, & messaging for product analysis (SW, TWS, APS, Tab, PC) Triangulation and validation of large data sets from various data sources to analyze channels, customers, and mobile industry trends for the company and competitors (Analyze weekly market trends) Driving action from insights, progressing a strategic recommendation into real execution Support TAM & Market Share actual/forecast data to internal system Interpret data, analyze results using various techniques and provide ongoing reports Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems Work with management to prioritize business and information needs Locate and define new process improvement opportunities Support in responding to ad-hoc requests Identify and improve the inefficient workflow processes

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Required; preferably in business, finance, economics or statistics. Experience in business analytics, management consulting, product management, marketing, business planning, and strategy development is preferred Must have experience in predictive modeling Experience in the mobile/telecom industry is highly desired Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
