*Dentists working at Open Cities may be eligible for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp. *
*DUTIES PERFORMED:*
* Assists the Dental Director in developing guidelines for dental treatment and priorities for dental care at OCHC.
* Examines, diagnoses, and establishes treatment plans for patients.
* Provides dental treatments and/or refers patients to the appropriate agency or professional individual when indicated.
* Provides emergency services to patients as needed.
* Performs other clinical duties as assigned by the Dental Director.
* Performs quality assurance audits and peer reviews as assigned.
* Provides dental education to clinic clients in individual or group settings.
* Maintains accurate and complete patient records within the EMR and closes out accounts according to clinic standards.
* Provide direction to the assigned dental assistant and work closely with the assigned dental hygienist to provide effective team-based patient care.
* Provides clinical supervision to Dental Therapist(s).
* Shares on-call duties for the dental department.
* Participates in staff and clinic meetings.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Graduation from an accredited dental school with a D.D.S., D.M.D., or equivalent degree.
* Current licensure to practice dentistry in Minnesota.
* Ongoing BLS certification.
* Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interactive personal relational skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs.
*DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *
* Experience working in an FQHC or with underserved patients.
* Fluency in Somali, Spanish, or Hmong.
* Residency training.
* Experience and expertise in endodontics or pediatric dental care.
Pay: $160,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
