Systems Administrator (Senior)

Description Leidos is seeking a Systems Administrator (Senior) to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.Primary Responsibilities:Supports, designs, maintains and monitors internal and external networks.Implements and manages all systems, applications, security and network configurations.Resolves network performance issues and establishes a disaster recovery plan. Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment.Provides technical support and guidance to users.Relies on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.This position will require privileged access and DODM 8570.01M restrictions will apply.Basic Qualifications:US CitizenMust possess an active DoD Secret ClearanceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM or engineering discipline required and 10 years related professional experience OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM or engineering discipline required and 8 years related professional experienceThorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and as needed RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardwareExperience in effective communication and collaborating in a high performance team environment.Group Policy design and configurationWorking knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologiesWorking knowledge of virtualization as it applies to users environments, operating systems, and network appliancesWorking knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologiesWorking knowledge communication security (COMSEC) policies and integrationWorking knowledge and current relevant experience with IL4 and above network environments/systemsMust be familiar with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administrationWorking knowledge of Risk Management Framework and how to apply it to network/information system environmentsWorking knowledge in the following programming languages:Bash scripting, PythonMust have CCNA, Security+, CCDE, or DoD 8140 Advanced ProficiencyPreferred Qualifications:A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems CommandExperience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program officeOriginal Posting Date:2025-02-14While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
