Splunk and Dynatrace Engineer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Chandler, AZ 85224 / Jersey City, NJ
Onsite (100% Onsite)
Responsibilities:
A vacancy exists for an experienced Splunk and Dynatrace Engineer to support multiple Splunk Dashboard rollouts supporting Payment applications dashboards.
Solutions Engineering for delivery of GBAM global monitoring Strategy
Rollout of Dynatrace as the strategic monitoring tool across banking applications, replacing AppDynamics.
SME for GBAM monitoring tools that form part of the global monitoring strategy.
Monitoring setup for Applications on Cloud and Containers infrastructure.
Lead the deployment and integration of new monitoring tools across the GBAM organization and applications.
Host demos, overviews and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams, preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools (presentations, operational manuals etc.).
Liaise with regional technical leads in the planning and scheduling of deployments.
Consult with the local teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential and use of monitoring tool.
Preparation of regional reporting of monitoring tools adoption and other related data points and other relevant metrics.
Participate in global discussions on the continuation and evolution on global monitoring strategy.
Drives application event-based automation.
Experience with Splunk.
A good knowledge of: Dynatrace
Splunk Enterprise including the deployment, instrumentation and leveraging of the tool for analytical and alerting capabilities
Proven experience with supporting monitoring tools such as Tivoli, Microfocus BPM, Sitescope, Dynatrace, Catchpoint etc.
Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services,
Able to process, monitor, shell scripts, etc.
Experience in programming languages (Java and/or .NET)
Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring
Proven experience in N-Tier architecture supporting a multitude of products (Webserver, Middleware, Database, etc.)
Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes
An excellent communicator, able to network and influence across multiple levels is required of this role
A self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual with strong leadership skills
A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality.
Experience in splunk development including Scripting, and splunk Dashboard development and implementation knowledge

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $60 - $65 USD Per Hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
