About the role:
Fragomen, an AmLaw 100 firm and the leading immigration services provider, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst (Business Data Analysis Specialist) who will act as a primary point of contact between the business and work closely with our external clients to understand reporting needs. In this role, the Data Analyst will work closely with legal teams to develop detailed business requirements and will then design reporting specifications to support these requirements.
If you have superb Excel skills, have an analytical mindset and are a strong self-starter, this role is for you! Legal knowledge in the immigration field is a plus!

How will you make a difference as a Data Analyst at Fragomen?
Serve as a reporting case analyst ensuring all cases are moving in a timely manner in accordance with process and client SLAs.
Act as a Business Analyst in terms of gathering requirements, creating reports and dashboards, and being able to take constructive feedback is a must.
Create and update process guides to improve report monitoring.
Analyze and create internal & client reports
Build forecast models to anticipate team and client growth.
Analyze data points to identify bottlenecks and advise on innovative solutions
Provide reporting support to attorneys, paralegals and clients relating to the tracking, preparation, and filing of immigration petitions and applications
Formulate technical specifications for new reports based on business requirements
Communicate regularly with team supervisors regarding reporting requirements and data integrity questions
Verify specialized and / or new reports for accuracy
Identify modifications that need to be made to current reports to accommodate data from the firm's case management application
Monitor and coordinate the handling of new and pending reporting requests, to ensure satisfaction of requirements and timely delivery
Leverage your valuable skills and experience to make an impact at Fragomen:
BS or BA degree required
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing business analysis or data analytics
At least one year of experience providing reporting support in a professional office environment using, Microsoft Excel.
1 Year of Experience with data visualization tools; (Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts; Tableau, PowerBI)
Experience using Power Query preferred.
Inquisitive mindset, question things, dig deeper while looking at data to determine quality and accuracy of the data.
Proactively identify risks and take action to mitigate and resolve issues, including data quality issues, unsustainable processes, and impact of business process changes to various stakeholders.
Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills
Strong customer service skills to both internal and external clients
Dashboard development, report building
Basic understanding of web-based data driven technologies
Expertise in Microsoft Excel; Strong formula knowledge to accomplish various goals and data manipulation.
Strong communication skills - both verbal and written is a MUST.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Proven experience in handling multiple deliverables efficiently
Strong organization skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Basic understanding of business immigration law preferred

Compensation:
The salary range for this role takes into account many factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors noted.
A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work a hybrid schedule in the office locally is:
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00
