About The Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to join our vibrant team at Papa John’s! In this exciting role, you’ll report directly to the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef and play a pivotal part in leading a dynamic team of up to 10 talented individuals.
At the heart of our mission is the desire to make our guests smile. You’ll ensure that every operational decision keeps our guests at the forefront. Your responsibilities will include:
- Resource planning and recruitment to build the best team.
- Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
- Managing food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to high standards.
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.
We’re excited to hear from candidates with experience in a similar role, as well as those eager to step up in their kitchen journey. If you have your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and a passion for leading a team in a fast-paced environment, we want to meet you!

While previous experience at Papa John’s and achieving your ROC or AROC qualification is a plus, it’s not a dealbreaker—full training will be provided!

QualificationsTo thrive in this role, you should have:
- Your Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
- Confidence in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen environment.

- A hardworking and determined attitude, with a knack for getting things done.
- Energy and enthusiasm, with a fun-loving spirit that enhances the team dynamic.
As a chef at this level, you’ll also be responsible for:
- Managing margins and controlling costs.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
