This role would be serving a federal law enforcement agency in Clarksburg, WV.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems. System administrator will ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users. The systems administrator could be focused in one or more of the following areas:A database administrator (DBA) maintains a database system and is responsible for the integrity of the data and the efficiency and performance of the system.A network administrator maintains network infrastructure such as switches and routers, and diagnoses problems with these or with the behavior of network-attached computers.A security administrator is a specialist in computer and network security, including the administration of security devices such as firewalls, as well as consulting on general security measures.A web administrator maintains web server services that allow for internal or external access to web sites.Tasks include managing multiple sites, administering security, and configuring necessary components and software.Responsibilities may also include software change management:A system programmer creates, modifies, and test the code, forms, and script that allow computer applications to run. They may also develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.A computer operator performs routine maintenance and upkeep, such as changing backup tapes or replacing failed drives.Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignmentsAssignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasksOperates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problemsContributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicablePreferred Experience:Infrastructure management: Set up and maintain infrastructure, including servers and cloud systemsProcess automation: Create and maintain automated processes for testing, deployment, and securityCommunication: Collaborate with development, operations, and other teams to ensure effective communicationTroubleshooting: Identify and fix issues in production, and monitor system performanceProduct updates: Launch product updates, and create integrations to improve the user experienceCybersecurity: Incorporate cybersecurity best practices into processesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeTypically requires 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2-6 years of prior relevant experienceAbility to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutionsAbility to work well within a small team environmentStrong communication skillsUS CitizenshipTechnologies Desired:terraformansiblekubernetesistioaws: eks, ec2, s3, rdsrediskibanaelasticsearchgrafanaPreferred Qualifications:Operating Systems: LinuxSoftware development tools: JIRA, ConfluenceLanguages/frameworks: JIRASource control tools: GITDOD Secret Clearance is required.FBIPROGRAMSOriginal Posting Date:2025-01-30While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
