QA Automation Engineer

QA Automation Engineer (Hybrid - 4 Days Remote, 1 Day Onsite) Location: Austin, Texas Duration: Long-term Contract Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to support the development and enhancement of primary support systems and other key programs. This role will focus on designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, creating execution plans, and documenting automated processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation, database query languages, and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with various teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional and nonfunctional requirements. Determine test scenario priorities and create execution plans for test automation. Design and document automated testing processes and frameworks. Prepare test data and analyze results to identify issues and areas for improvement. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage defect triaging. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality assurance best practices. Utilize JIRA to track work assignments, manage project tasks, and support agile development cycles. Required Skills & Experience 8 years of experience in verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact effectively with peers and users at different levels. 8 years of experience developing test suites using UFT or similar automation tools. 8 years of expertise with SQL, PL/SQL, and other database query languages. Preferred Skills & Experience 6 years of experience in developing requirements traceability matrices. 6 years of experience developing and executing test scripts. 6 years of experience in creating test plans and coordinating user acceptance testing. 6 years of experience with general IT SDLC processes. 4 years of experience working in an agile SDLC environment. 4 years of experience using JIRA for managing sprint tasks and tracking work assignments. 1 year of experience working on projects utilizing agile project management methodologies. ll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
