1st Shift - Laser Operator

Job Title : Laser Operator (Flat Laser)

Salary : Based off of experience

Shift : 2 nd Shift - 2 :30 pm to 1 0 :30 p m M- F , Overtime Friday s as needed

1 st Shift - 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM M-F

Summar y : The laser operator position safely performs laser cutting operations and selects the proper cutting programs / fixtures for a variety of manufacturing products

Job Responsibilities:

• Keep work area clean and safe
• Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations
• Perform p rescribed maintenance as required
• Perform all dimensional inspections
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor
• Perform variety of other tasks as required by production

Qualifications / Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong work ethic and excellent attendance
• 2+ years prior laser operator experience
• Attention to detail , self-motivated and able to shift priorities
• Leadership skills
• Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
• Competent at dimensional measuring and solid understanding of precision measurement tools
• Competent at basic shop math
• Able to read blueprints
• Able to work as a team and coordinate work with other departments
