Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Senior Cloud Architect to join our team supporting the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO CBRND). In this role, you will design, implement, and manage AWS cloud solutions that support critical defense initiatives. This is a hybrid position that requires travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD at least twice a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable AWS cloud architectures.

Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure best practices and compliance.

Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.

Develop and maintain cloud automation scripts and tools.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our cloud practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Able to obtain Secret Clearance

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in cloud architecture or a related role.

AWS Solution Architect certification is preferred.

Strong knowledge of AWS services and best practices.

Experience with cloud automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Python).

Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Willingness to travel to APG, MD at least twice a week.

Salary Range:

$140,700.00 - $253,300.00
