We are looking for a tenacious, innovative, and passionate self-starter to join our Sales Development team to help us achieve our ambitious growth goals.
You will be an integral part of our sales cycle. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations you will identify opportunities and build a pipeline for Account Executives by managing inbound and outbound prospecting, communications, discovery, and data tracking in Salesforce.
Responsibilities
Prospect into multiple accounts to source qualified conversations with target accounts that will convert not only into open pipeline but more importantly closed revenue
Leverage multi‑channel outbound campaigns utilizing highly personalized messaging, marketing content, and relevant news to develop account strategy plans to start conversations with the right people
Partner with the Sales team to identify good targets, source conversations with the right people, and help Account Executives effectively tailor deal cycles
Manage an effective sales cadence and process
Communicate in a manner of best practice consultant to Higher Education Leaders (VP and C‑Suite)
Develop creative campaigns to garner interest from Higher Ed executives
Create a positive impression with relevant prospects by providing timely, compassionate, and relevant responses
Work with marketing to drive conversations from content, field events, and qualify leads. Provide direct product feedback from prospects
Act as an effective liaison between sales, marketing, and product
Key Responsibilities Within 1 month:
Basic understanding of Coursedog Product Suite
Begin collaborating with the team and book the first few discovery conversations
Learn all internal tools and how to structure your day for success
Understand and speak eloquently about the product to our buyer
Within 3 months:
Advanced product knowledge
Consistent quota achievement
Developing own messaging and running A/B tests in outreach
Salesforce mastered and excellent data reporting
Providing feedback to product for frontline conversations
Executing account strategy with an Account Executive in the territory
Basic ability to demo
Within 6 months:
Get involved with hiring and growing the team by evaluating / interviewing candidates
Help hire, train and manage new Sales folks
Building out scalable processes
Understand the full deal cycle and why we win deals
Become a product expert
Build up network in higher ed
Represent Coursedog at various conferences
Qualifications and Skills
Experienced using our tech stack (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, etc)
A proven track record of meeting and exceeding metrics
Exceptional written and verbal skills
Organizational, time‑management, and prioritization skills
Thrives in quick‑paced and dynamic environments
Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to go the extra mile to achieve success
Ability and willingness to think outside the box, flag problems, and dynamically problem solve in an ever‑changing, metric‑driven environment
Comfortable with travel up to 10% of the time
Authorization to work in the US
