The Amazon Ads Shopper Experience team innovates and designs on behalf of our customers. We are relentlessly focused on improving how customers experience ads globally. We are seeking a Principal UX Designer to help lead, define, and enhance the end-to-end customer experience (CX). Amazon Ads UX team members collaborate with global product, marketing, branding, science, and technology teams to deliver compelling customer experiences across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
Analyze customer problems and oversee the design of delightful and intuitive solutions that achieve measurable business goals
Mentor designers and serve as a quality bar-raiser for the team
Drive standardization of design systems and visual languages across organizations and verticals while educating team members
Partner closely with product and business partners to develop shared visions and lead the process of designing experiences that deliver on shared objectives
Partner with technology teams to leverage the scale offered by our platform while maintaining core experience principles
Present design solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership for review, feedback, and approval
Evaluate and measure the impact and effectiveness of UX innovations
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of professional design experience
Proven experience designing user interfaces across web, mobile, and native applications
Experience owning end-to-end product design for large-scale, complex products
Preferred Qualifications
12+ years of professional UX/UI design experience
Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
Skill in developing rapid UI prototypes
Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
Experience working with retail, technology development, and device partners
Experience in implementing accessible and inclusive design principles
Strong skills in both working with and presenting to executive leaders
Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
Experience driving, maintaining, and mechanizing collaboration across teams with divergent needs/goals
Portfolio showcasing end-to-end design solutions for complex products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
