Develop modular, well-tested SQL and dbt models (staging → marts) aligned to warehouse best practices.
Implement data quality checks, monitoring, lineage, and alerting; investigate and resolve data issues.
Optimize SQL and storage for cost and performance (speed, compute consumption, complexity).
Collaborate with analytics, finance, ops, and product to translate requirements into robust data models.
Contribute to CI/CD for data (code reviews, environments, tests, automated deployments).
Document pipelines, datasets, and KPIs; promote reusability and standards across the stack.
Support governance and security for PII/PHI (row/column-level controls, auditability).

SQL – 3+ years professional experience: complex transformations, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, and analytics use cases

Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing data quality frameworks (dbt tests, source freshness, reconciliation, or similar)
Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric concepts: Lakehouse, Warehouses, Delta/Parquet, capacity-based cost considerations
Experience writing notebooks and pipelines using either Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or similar
Experience supporting finance, billing, or ERP data (orders, invoices, inventory, AR/AP)
Exposure to CI/CD for data platforms, including environment promotion and versioned deployments
Comfort working in small, fast-moving teams with high ownership and minimal bureaucracy
