As a full time, exempt, Data Scientist with the CPS Solutions LLC, Data and Analytics team you will provide analytical insights using AI/ML techniques and work on diverse data sets, including data sourced from 3rd party suppliers. You are expected to decompose stakeholder requirements to meet the data-related need, write and execute SQL/Python queries to create datasets used for analysis, understand and answer stakeholder questions about the underlying data, and contribute to the continuous learning and improvement of the analytics team by reviewing code, brainstorming solutions to challenges, and providing thorough documentation. This position reports to the Director, Reporting & Analytics.
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship or restrictions.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities
Utilize SQL language or Python to extract data from database or third party sources
Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources utilizing visualization tools
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Work efficiently within Agile framework and deliver data product aligned with technical and functional requirements in timely manner
Cooperate with the team members, review pull requests of team members, assist in code troubleshooting
Work closely with analytics director to understand and maintain focus on business analytics needs
Perform assigned internal and/or external cadence reporting

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics or related field
Experience with Database and Reporting packages such as SQL or Python
Experience with Python for data manipulation, cleaning, and analyzing
Experience with queries, report writing, and presenting findings
Experience with BI platforms such as AWS Quicksight and MS Power BI
Proven exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Proven advanced technical skills and excellent documentation skills
A track record of following through on commitments using excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Data Science
Healthcare experience especially with EMR Data
Proven self‑motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proven effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with internal and external clients
Demonstrated time and organizational management skills
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
