Nursery Manager

Location: Footsteps Nursery Stratford

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Hourly Rate: £14.20 per hour

As a Room Leader , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the care and development of our children. Collaborating with a team of skilled practitioners, you will create a nurturing and safe environment that promotes physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.

• Supporting a key person approach to foster secure attachments and monitor children’s progress through high-quality records (EyLog/EyMan).
• Guiding and supporting colleagues’ development while maintaining a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Building strong partnerships with parents to encourage engagement and share children’s development.
• Leading by example with professionalism, consistency, and respect across the nursery.
• Ensuring compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and high standards of health, safety, and welfare.
• Promoting outdoor learning and applying a strong understanding of child development in practice.

• Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare (Essential).
• Previous experience working with pre-school children.
• A passion for the outdoors and outdoor learning, with enthusiasm for forest school activities.
• Strong understanding of child development and the ability to provide purposeful learning experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with parents and colleagues.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
