Join Our Team as a Nursery Room Leader!

Position: Nursery Room Leader
Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week)
Salary: £14.06 per hour

Location: Nestled in a stunning rural setting, our converted barn nursery is surrounded by fields, offering expansive outdoor play areas perfect for all weather conditions.

At our nursery, children from birth to 5 years old can explore, learn, and grow through engaging activities and resources that promote learning through play. We cherish the great outdoors, featuring open spaces and a bespoke forest school facility for outdoor learning.

Our mission is to create a happy, home-like environment where every child receives individual attention and learns through play. We believe that children should feel safe, healthy, and stimulated in their educational journey, and we partner closely with parents to meet their needs.

This role is ideal for an experienced Room Lead or Nursery Practitioner who has a passion for nurturing young minds and is eager to embrace an exciting career opportunity.

Essential Criteria - Qualifications/Experience:
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 year's experience working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
  • Understanding of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Fluency in written and spoken English - Essential
Your Role as a Room Leader:

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

  • Lead the care and development of children aged 3 months to 1 year.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment that supports secure attachments.
  • Guide and support team members, identifying their training needs.
  • Utilize EyLog/EyMan to track progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and keep them informed.
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS and safeguarding standards.
  • Promote outdoor learning and overall child development.
  • Model professionalism and foster a respectful team culture.
