*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Provide nurturing and responsive care to infants and toddlers in a group setting.
* Create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes exploration and learning.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.
* Observe and document children's growth and development and use this information to inform curriculum and individualized plans.
* Build positive relationships with children and families and maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
* Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment.
* Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed, including administering medication and responding to emergencies.
* Work collaboratively with all staff to maintain compliance with all program regulations.
* Adhere to Community Action Code of Ethics and Confidentiality policy.
* All other duties as assigned.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Must obtain CDA that the agency will assist with.
* Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and coworkers.
* Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
* Preference given to candidates with early childhood experience, education, or CDA.
This position is 40 hours per week with full benefits.
