Your Role

As a Nursery Third in Charge, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development.
  • Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs.
  • Assist staff in maintaining high-quality learning journals and updating the EyLog system.
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility within the team.
  • Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments.
  • Maintain accurate records related to children and staff.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor.
  • Understand and uphold the statutory framework for the EYFS.

What You Need

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification (Essential).
  • Over 1 year of experience in Early Years (Essential).
  • Over 6 months of experience in a senior position (Desirable).
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS (Essential).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (Essential).

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our Safeguarding Duty.
