Overview
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a
Senior Data Analyst
to support our U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. This role serves as a key data lead, responsible for driving data analysis, data quality, and data structure decisions that support mission-critical transportation and logistics operations.
The Senior Data Analyst works closely with database administrators, developers, and functional stakeholders to define data requirements, improve data integrity, and ensure that data structures and reporting capabilities align with operational and business needs. This role plays a critical part in guiding how data is organized, accessed, and utilized across the IBS system.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, deep experience with relational data, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable data solutions. Duties & Responsibilities
Lead analysis of data structures, relationships, and data flows across IBS systems Collaborate with DBAs and developers to define and refine database design, data models, and data standards
Drive data requirements and reporting needs in coordination with stakeholders and program leadership
Develop and execute complex SQL queries to support analysis, validation, and operational needs
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across multiple environments and applications
Identify data issues, gaps, and inconsistencies, and work with technical teams to resolve them
Support and guide data-related decision-making for system enhancements and changes
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support operations and leadership
Support audit and compliance activities, including FISCAM/FIAR data validation and reporting
Document data definitions, data flows, and business rules
Support data migration, transformation, and integration efforts
Provide ad hoc data analysis and subject matter expertise to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and program standards Qualifications
Active Secret Clearance
IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE preferred)
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data analysis or data-focused roles
Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases
Experience working with complex data models and data relationships
Experience collaborating with database administrators and development teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred : Experience supporting USTRANSCOM or DoD logistics systems Familiarity with FISCAM/FIAR data and audit requirements Experience with data modeling or schema design
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration
Experience with cloud-based data environments (AWS preferred)
Experience working in Agile environments
