We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our leadership team and ensure smooth execution of daily operations while scaling the company for growth.

Position Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations, managing multiple contract vehicles, supporting proposal development, and driving the recruitment of top technical talent. This role requires strong knowledge of government contracting and the ability to balance operational excellence with startup agility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Leadership
  • Ensure smooth overall operations across business units, including compliance, finance coordination, and contract administration.
  • Develop and optimize internal processes to support rapid growth while maintaining compliance with government contracting standards.
  • Track and report on KPIs, risks, and operational performance.
  • Talent Acquisition & Team Development
  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain highly skilled technical talent.
  • Build scalable hiring processes tailored to government contracts and startup culture.
  • Partner with leadership to develop training, onboarding, and performance management systems.
  • Government Contracting & Contract Vehicles
  • Manage multiple government contract vehicles, ensuring deliverables, compliance, and reporting requirements are met.
  • Oversee subcontractor and partner relationships.
  • Support pricing, compliance matrices, and proposal submissions.
  • Proposal & Business Development Support
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on proposal writing and RFP responses.
  • Contribute to capture strategies, teaming arrangements, and past performance documentation.
  • Maintain a library of proposal content, templates, and compliance checklists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, ideally in a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Proven experience in government contracting, including FAR, DFARS, GSA schedules, and contract vehicles.
  • Strong background in technical recruiting and team-building.
  • Experience supporting proposal development for federal, state, or local government.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC-2, CMMI, etc.) is required.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IT/AI/HealthTech government programs.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC-2, CMMI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Jira, or other CRM/PM systems.
  • Strong writing skills for proposal contributions.
