About the Role
We are looking for a highly technical and client-facing Technology Design Project Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will be the architectural lead and primary technical contact for our clients. You will listen to their needs, engineer comprehensive low-voltage solutions (AV, Security, Structured Cabling), and document those requirements. A critical component of this role is acting as the bridge between our clients and our drafting team-scoping the work, delegating the heavy CAD/Revit production, and performing QA/QC before final delivery.
If you are an experienced engineer who loves solving client problems, knows your way around Bluebeam, and wants to leverage the team to scale your output, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation & Scoping: Lead technical discovery meetings with clients, architects, and general contractors to gather requirements for structured cabling, audiovisual, and physical security systems. System Engineering: Design and engineer integrated technology solutions that meet client specifications, industry standards, and budget requirements. Documentation & Markups: Utilize Bluebeam Revu extensively to document technology requirements, create takeoffs, and generate clear markups for the drafting team. Team Coordination: Package scopes of work and delegate drafting and documentation tasks to our dedicated production team.. QA/QC & Hands-On Drafting: Review the CAD and Revit outputs from the production team for accuracy and standard compliance. You must be proficient enough in AutoCAD and Revit to jump into the files, make necessary redline changes, and finalize drawing sets when speed is required. Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the design phase of the project from initial concept through 100% Construction Documents, ensuring timelines and margins are maintained. Construction Administration Activities: Manage the firm's response to RFIs, submittal reviews, oversee documenting of design clarifications just prior to or during construction, visit the project site and prepare a summary report of observations. What We Are Looking For
Industry Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in technology design, engineering, or project management specifically focused on Low Voltage, Structured Cabling, Audiovisual, and/or Electronic Security systems. Technical Software Proficiency: Strong, hands-on experience with Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Revit. You don't need to be a full-time drafter, but you must be able to navigate, edit, and review complex models and drawing sets. Engineering Acumen: Deep understanding of construction processes, architectural floor plans, RCPs, and MEP coordination. Delegation & Leadership: Experience working with, delegating to, or managing drafting teams is highly preferred. Communication: Exceptional client-facing skills. You must be able to translate complex technical jargon into clear business value for stakeholders. Why Join Us?
This is a high-leverage role where you aren't just grinding out drawings all day. You will act as the "brain" of the operation-engineering the solutions and managing the client relationship-while leveraging our production resources to handle the heavy production lifting. It's an opportunity to scale your impact, lead high-profile projects, and grow within a rapidly integrating organization.
