This is an on-site position located in Waco, Texas.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
Associate's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
One year of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong track record of delivering insights and solutions from data and establishing data governance OR an equal combination of education and experience.
Driver's License
Preferred:
2+ years working experience with GIS and municipal data systems
2+ Years SQL, Cloud, and/or HTML experience
Microsoft or other professional IT certifications
Position Description:
The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in building, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making processes. This role will also work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations across multiple pre-sale and post-sale applications.
Position Responsibilities:
Collects and analyzes large datasets from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and relationships. Develops and maintains data models, dashboards, and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Helps develop governance around data.
Collaborates with teams across the organization to understand their data needs and provide analytical support. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains through data analysis.
Uses statistical techniques and data visualization tools to present findings in a clear and meaningful way to stakeholders. Conducts ad hoc data analysis and research to address specific business questions or challenges.
Works directly with other IT members on data and/or application related projects
Stays up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis.
