PE Global is recruiting for a PLC Automation Engineer on behalf of our pharmaceutical client in Mayo. This is an initial 12-month contract, fully onsite role.


The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.

This role is 100% onsite; however, there will be flexibility in the first couple of months to allow hybrid working, allowing the worker to find accommodation with full relocation expected within 1-2 months.


Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing PLC changes identified during all stages of the project lifecycle as well as working with a range of other automation related systems such as DeltaV and DCS systems and others. You will contribute to technical strategy for the execution of Automated projects and review all work during the design, commissioning, and validations stages.


Skills

  • Significant experience working with PLC systems
  • You should have PLC experience as well as knowledge and experience in Batch Processing
  • At least 5 years’ experience with Automation systems administration, knowledge in one or more of the following systems, Rockwell Factorytalk, DCS, OSI PI Historian, Syncade, Siemens is essential.
  • Knowledge of S88
  • Demonstrated proficiency communicating and collaborating at a variety of levels, coupled with excellent organization and planning skills
  • In addition to problem solving, project management ability is essential
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with minimum direct supervision
  • Strong Customer relationship management skills
  • Strong Critical thinking skills

Candidate

  • Candidates must have a BSc. degree in Engineering or equivalent, with emphasis in software development, electrical, electronic or automation discipline, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in industry, preferably in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, blue chip or relevant GMP manufacturing environment. xcfaprz
