We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our facility. This includes receiving, storing, picking, and staging materials for various departments. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization, free from hazards.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Comply with all Safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all procedures for safe Lifting and handling of materials.
- Report any safety concerns or operational issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, material handling, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
