We are seeking a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Madison, Wisconsin. In this specialized role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to efficiently move, store, and retrieve high-level inventory within our warehouse. Precision, speed, and an unwavering commitment to safety are essential as you navigate our racking systems. Your expertise will ensure the optimal utilization of our storage space and the accurate management of our product flow. This position is vital for maintaining our operational efficiency and supporting our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods at various heights.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Safely load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated rack locations, ensuring proper placement and stability.
- Accurately scan inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid and current reach truck operator certification.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work at heights and have excellent spatial awareness.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics and WMS is advantageous.
